Tuesday, June 22, 2021 is Turning for Home Day!!!

Not much has changed over the years, except that the number of horses we take in each month has doubled to 25 horses each month on average, (TFH helped 38 horses retire safely in April of 2021). We have amazing Partner Farms, most have been with us for over 7 years, along with some great new farms who are really pushing to find the perfect second careers for our retiring racehorses. We remain true to our mission to keep our racehorses safe from the slaughter pipeline and work with the Owners and Trainers to quickly assist any injured horses who need surgery, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming. To do all this, we need additional support from everyone who benefits from having these exceptional athletes in their lives. Between inflation and COVID and rising numbers, our Partner Farms are struggling to keep up with their expenses and with the number of relatively sound horses sold directly at track level, it is so much harder for them to make up for their expenses on horsecare from adoption prices. Without the full support of our Industry, TFH will not be able to continue taking in every horse offered with virtually no wait time. We are proud to be fully self-sustained by our PA Partners, please help us continue to help you and our horses!!!
