Jockey Anthony Y. Nunez Update

Promising young Parx jockey Anthony Nunez, 22, remains hospitalized as of Friday morning following a traffic accident on Thursday. Family from Puerto Rico are flying in to care for him. Details of the accident are not yet available, according to his agent, Jared Hutt. Anthony has compiled a record of 1,318 rides with 96 wins, with a two-win day for trainers Michelle Castillo and Frank Henson on Tuesday.

After four years riding at Parx, Nunez jut had his first stakes win on Wait for It on Pennsylvania’s Day at the Races on September 7, 2020. The PTHA and his entire Parx family are praying for his quick recovery and return to racing.
