Also entered in the PA Derby are G1 Haskell Invitational winner Bayern, G2 West Virginia Derby victor Tapiture, Robert B. Lewis (G2) winner Candy Boy, and Jerome Stakes (G2) winner Noble Moon. Protonico and locally-trained Classic Giacnroll both exit the G3 Smarty Jones Stakes on Labor Day at Parx, where they ran one-two. Closing out the field is recent allowance winner C J’s Awesome.
