Kendrick Carmouche

Hall of Fame Jockey
Biography: Kendrick Carmouche has been a dominant force at Parx Racing: he held the Leading Jockey title here for four straight years from 2008 – 2011, and in 2013 reclaimed his crown by an easy 12 victories. Even last year, Carmouche finished third overall at Parx, despite moving his tack to New York midway through the year.

Carmouche often comes back to Parx for stakes opportunities and trainers are thrilled to give him a leg up whenever he returns. He rewarded local bettors with a victory in this year’s Turf Monster Handicap (G3) aboard Pure Sensation, defeating fellow 2015 Parx Racing Hall of Fame inductee Ben’s Cat. In 2012, Carmouche also won the G3 Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx aboard Easter Gift.

This summer at historic Saratoga Race Course, Carmouche was well-received by New York horsemen. He finished out the six-week-long meet in ninth place amongst some of the toughest riders in the country.
