Chris Landicini Jr., 68 of Egg Harbor City passed away with his family by his side on March 25, 2022. Chris was born in Newcomb Hospital on October 29, 1953 to the Late Christopher Landicini Sr. and Frances (Mastrobuono) Landicini. He went to Vineland High School. His love for horses was his passion. He left high school to begin a career in the thoroughbred horse racing industry. Chris began exercising horses for Willard Thompson and went on to become a successful jockey. After retiring from riding, he became a trainer. Chris raced his stable at many tracks on the east coast. He was stabled at Parx Race Track in Bensalem PA for many years. Chris is predeceased by his father, Chris Landicini Sr. who was his agent for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Frances; his sons, Matthew (Age) Landicini of Mullica Twp. and Jesse (Nichi) Landicini; and his grandsons, Cole and Ean of Sweetwater. A special thank you to his former wife, Linda Landicini for helping to take care of Chris in his final years.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 2 from 10 am to 12 pm, with a service at 12 pm at Wimberg Funeral Home in Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357. Interment will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland.
