Highlighted by Swilcan Stables’ Vero Amore running second in the G2 Black-Eyed Susan, trainers from Parx also had a number of other competitors hit the board.
John Servis sent out Joint Return to a fourth-place finish in the Black-Eyed Susan, and watched Stormy Novel run a valiant second in the Miss Preakness Stakes just one race later.
Mike Aro saddled seven-year-old Winning Image in the Skipat Stakes, where the chestnut mare encountered a wet racing surface for the first time, yet still hung on for third.
And on Saturday, Guadalupe Preciado and West Point Thoroughbreds successfully sent out Quality Lass to a third-place finish in her first start of the year, the five furlong The Very One Stakes on turf.
