The Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion horses have arrived throughout this week, and the excitement for Saturday is palpable. Each morning since Wednesday, horsemen have popped up to their closest gap to watch this year’s Kentucky Derby winner, California Chrome, hit the track for his daily exercise. And at the same time, horses like Haskell winner Bayern and Cotillion contender Little Alexis have galloped strongly, taking full advantage of the nearly empty training session that has been reserved for the graded stakes entrants.

On Thursday, California Chrome schooled in the paddock, handling the experience with ease, while on Friday he schooled in the gate. Tapiture and Untapable both arrived at Parx on Thursday and schooled in the paddock along with Candy Boy following morning training on Friday.
