Four-year-old Officer Alex returned to the scene of his first win and first stakes win, after a string of nine straight losses on Saturday, May 3, and ran off with the seven furlong Lyman Handicap. Officer Alex, ridden by Frankie Pennington, crossed the wire a length and a half in front, sending his ecstatic connections to the winner’s circle. He is trained by Lynn Whiting and owned by Winning Horses Stables and Choctaw Racing Stable. Finishing in second was Zipped Code, while Rustler Hustler was third. The favorite, Traffic Light, finished fourth.
