The Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (PTHA) works hard to protect and provide for the Parx Racing horsemen through the guarantee of live racing, horsemen’s rights, health care and pension for horsemen, benevolence programs, and more.

New Access Waiver & Release Required for Any Person Entering Barn Area

Scenic Backside Training
Beginning Saturday, November 1, 2014, ANY person entering the barn area at Parx Racing MUST have signed a copy of the Access Waiver & Release form. The ONLY people exempt from this requirement are trainers who have completed and signed the new stall applications, which essentially included the contents of this form. Anyone who has not completed the form will be denied access to the barn area until having signed the waiver & release.

Please note that this includes all owners, jockeys, exercise riders, grooms, hotwalkers, pony riders, farriers, veterinarians, etc. – EVERYONE except for licensed trainers who have completed a stall application.

The forms are available in the PTHA office as well as below. All forms must include the applicant’s Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission license number (the number on the FRONT of your license), a printed name on the front of the form, a signature and printed name on the back, as well as a witness signature and printed name. The witness must be a PTHA employee, a member of security at the stable gate, or a Racing Office employee.

Completed forms may be dropped off at the PTHA office between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm.
