The good old days of racing, full of amazing races, daredevil rides and fantastic odds, makes for great movies and lots of laughter around the card tables in racetrack kitchens. Sadly, each time we lose one of our Horsemen, we lose some of those stories. Let’s take a minute to appreciate the life of the incredible rider, Jockey William Zakoor, whose family has deep ties in racings past and also the present via Saratoga Leading Trainer Michael Maker, Bill’s nephew. We want to thank Mrs. Iris Zakoor for these photos and the trip back to the great times in the great days of horseracing.
