Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Update

As of March 13, 2020, due to the public health concerns, live racing at Parx will be suspended until further notice.
PTHA will cut back hours and the HPA store will have limited hours 8-12. Mon-Sat, so plan accordingly for supplies.
Training hours are remaining the same, however, they are subject to change. This decision has been made to help protect and maintain the health and safety of all employees, horses, horsemen, and customers.
Due to the cancellation of racing, entries will not be taken until further notice. Jail time on horses claimed at Parx is suspended; these horses are allowed to be entered and run at other tracks.
Parx claiming jail time will go back into effect on the first entry day when racing is resumed.
The PTHA’s Horsemen’s Awards Banquet scheduled on Thursday, April 16, 2020, is postponed until further notice.
The Horsemen’s Bookkeepers office will be open for checks on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday ONLY for the next 2 weeks.
LaSalle nurses will not be in over the next two weeks. Dr. Brian Rizen has normal office hours on Tuesdays. Please call first.
Effective March 16, 2020, all Pennsylvania Schools will be closed for 10 business days. After the 10 days, the COVID-19 crisis will be reevaluated and decide whether continued closure is needed. Please work with the families impacted and reach out to those in need in your community.
