Bob Donaldson Wins American Pharoah Halter

Congratulations to Bob Donaldson of Donaldson Farms, who was the lucky winner of American Pharoah’s stud halter, courtesy of ! On Saturday, September 24th, 2016, Turning for Home volunteer Linda Schiavo pulled his raffle ticket out of nearly 400 tickets – all on live television. This year’s Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes were broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet and sandwiched between the featured races was a short segment about Turning for Home, as well as the drawing.

“This is amazing,” said Donaldson when he picked up the halter on Monday. “I’ve been so excited ever since I got the phone call. I can’t believe it! My horse just raced and finished fifth, but I still feel like I won after this!”
