Biography: Roy and Patricia Chapman began breeding horses in the late 1980s. Roy, who passed away in 2006, was a car salesman and owner of Chapman Auto Group in Philadelphia, while Patricia, his wife, is a former social worker. Their most successful runner, until Three-Year-Old Champion Smarty Jones, was his dam, I’ll Get Along, a winner of 12 races and over $280,000, who they bred to Elusive Quality, upon the advice of their former trainer, Bob Camac. After Camac’s death they sold all but two of their horses, one of which was Smarty Jones. Their Someday Farm is located in New Hope, PA.
