Biography: Gallant Bob was campaigned for owner Robert Horton by trainer Joe Marquette. A Kentucky-bred, he was an inexpensive yearling purchase at Keeneland, who went on to set a six furlong track record there as a four-year-old in the Phoenix Handicap. His best season was as a three-year-old, earning Champion Sprint Horse after scoring in 14 of 18 starts, all wins in stakes races! In total, he won six stakes at Keystone, including the Gr.III Patriot S., and placed in the Gr.III Kindergarten, Gr.II Swift S., Gr.III Bay Shore, Gr.III Paumonok and Gr.II Carter at Liberty Bell, Keystone and Aqueduct from the ages of 2 to 5.
