Biography: Cheating Arthur was Keystone’s “house horse” and a fan favorite during much of his nine-year career, winning stakes races at 4, 5, 6 and 7. A strapping 17-hand gelding, Cheating Arthur was purchased by trainer Goose Heimer in New York, where he had not been running well. All but one of his stakes performances was at Keystone Racetrack. His list of victories includes the Hessian H., Southampton H., Gettysburg H., and at 7 he scored in the Independence H.
