TFH LogoWhat is Turning for Home?

Turning for Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group sponsored by the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association that has provided over 1,700 retiring racehorses with a safe retirement since its inception. Read more about Turning for Home here.

How is Turning for Home Funded?

At Parx Racing, we truly do take care of our own. Unlike most retirement and rescue programs, 85% of our funding comes from the Parx horse owners and jockeys, the PTHA, racetrack management, and the PA Horse Breeders Association. We also accept donations.

Why Should I Adopt a Horse from Turning for Home?

Turning for Home horses are thoroughly evaluated before they are even offered for adoption. They have been examined by at least three veterinarians, and when they are ready for adoption, our partner farms work carefully with potential adopters to find the right match.
