Hall of Fame Trainer

Biography: Bob Camac was born in Wilmington, DE and became a trainer in 1976. He and his wife Maryann owned a farm in Pedricktown, NJ. His most important contribution to racing was suggesting the breeding of Someday Farm’s I’ll Get Along to Elusive Quality in 2000. Unfortunately, Camac didn’t live to see the resulting foal, Three-Year-Old Champion Smarty Jones, as he and his wife were killed suddenly the following year.

Career Highlights: Won Gr.I Philip Iselin H. with Jolie’s Halo in 1992. Won multiple graded stakes with Cagey Exuberance. Was leading trainer at Philadelphia Park 1988 Fall-Winter meet.
