Hall of Fame Owner

Biography: Fifteen years ago, Jack Armstrong never would have thought that he would be the the third-leading owner in wins and second-leading owner in money earned at Parx Racing. In fact, 16 years ago he wasn’t even a horse owner. After experiencing a day at the races with a co-worker who owned a racehorse, Armstrong decided to give the horse racing business a try, and the rest is history. He has since been crowned leading owner at Parx three times, and finished second by just a single victory in a fourth year.

Armstrong considers himself a model claiming owner, and takes pride in claiming a horse that is able to go on to win in allowance company. Each year, he sets goals for his stable, such as a specific win percentage or money earned, as he feels that if his personal goals are met, he will be in the hunt for leading owner at the end of the year. He is grateful that he has two solid trainers who are able to give his horses their best shot to enter into the winner’s circle.

Armstrong and his wife Michele live right up the street in Bensalem.
